eating disorder support

I struggled with an eating disorder from my childhood into my early 30s—and it’s still something I have to be very mindful of even now. Eating disorders are multi-faceted, complicated, and tricky. Dealing with my relationship to my body and to food has been hands-down one of the most difficult struggles in my life.

I believe eating disorder coaching works best if you are being cared for by a solid team, including a therapist and a dietitian. Getting you connected to these supports is something we can do as part of our work together if you aren’t already connected.

As one part of your treatment team, I see my role as a friend and advocate. I am here to do some of the hands-on, on the ground work with you. Together we can figure out how to shape your everyday life so it best serves your recovery.

I am currently certified as a Qualified Mental Health Associate with the State of Oregon, as well as a mental health and addictions Peer Support Specialist/Recovery Coach. I work part-time as a Recovery Coach in a residential treatment facility for adults with eating disorders, and am in the process of getting training that is specific to offering independent eating disorder recovery coaching services.
